Two 20-something created a Web crawler, then a few OK products sold by an anti-American hate cult.
In 1995, two 20-something Ph.D. students from Stanford were looking for something to do their dissertations on, and decided that they should focus on a Web crawler. They found funding, a revenue stream based on advertising, and became a Unicorn (a multi-billion dollar company). Their saga from College Dormitory Culture to anti-American Corporate hate-Cult began.

Unfortunately, explosively rapid successes skip normal growth and maturing processes in corporations, and can create cults (or at least cult-like behavior). There's a line between corporate culture and conformity to the corporate line or expulsion, and that line seems to often get crossed at the Googleplex, without any of the normal checks and balances that might apply at a more moderate corporation.

  • 2019.03.04 Google's pay-discrimination, against men - Google investigates pay equality, and finds it is underpaying men. (Kinda like James Damore warned about).
  • 2019.05.01 Google Fires Black Conservative in the name of inclusion - Google is infected with those intolerant types. They de-platformed a top conservative think tank for admitting that gender dysphoria is a mental disorder, and for offering ethical oversight of Google's AI efforts. I guess Google prefers non-ethics, a lack of diversity, and hypocrisy to learning to do no evil.
  • 2019.06.24 Veritas Google Exec - Insider exposes Google's partisan plan to prevent “Trump situation” in 2020 on Hidden Cam video. Jen Gennai (head of “Responsible Innovation”) admits they're partisan and manipulating the public to prevent Trump, they suppressed truthful "right-wingers", they manipulated their machine learning (Search results) to further left leaning agendas.
  • Google Cult - Give academic college snowflakes more money than some governments, and tell them that they were the smartest kids in the room (like their mommies did), and they might believe you. And their obscene success means they skip a lot of life's harder lessons, and the wisdom that usually imparts. Soon they are hiring and firing based on conformity clique. And they are cult-like.
  • Break up Google? - Should Google be broken up? My Libertarian PoV is to use that as the tool of last resort, and I don't think we've tried the others yet. But I do think there's plenty of room to make sure they're following certain rules. And if they do not (which they don't), it gives more justification to break them up than Standard Oil, or ATT.
  • The Creepy Line - It was a bit sensational in parts, but did a worthy job in letting people know who and why their data was captured, and what they did to manipulate you. Generally, it was liked by viewers -- but far lefties didn't like that it attacked leftist icons, or showed how these organizations colluded with the Hillary (and Obama) campaigns to rig elections.
  • James Damore - This is the story of Media Lies, Google Hypocrisy, and what happens when someone (James Damore) decides to tell the truth in Progressive America. James committed the thought crime of saying, on an internal forum that inviting people to challenge views, that the forum and Google had become an “ideological echo chamber"... and proving it. Fired for butchering sacred cows.
  • Digital Kristallnacht - Under the urging of Biden administration and supporters, Social Media enacted Digital Kristallnacht: ripping through 7,000 Conservative individuals, digital businesses and communities on Social Media, breaking windows, banning, and blocking, in order to harass and ban them, all in the name of faux healing and unity.
  • Facebook/Broke Apple Store rules and got blocked - Apple rules don't allow you to install apps directly. Facebook circumvented that, and got temp blocked for it.
  • Google & Russia - Google made a deal with Russia to manipulate search results in Russia. (aka delete links to banned sites). This shows how much Google values free speech, and tolerates violent despots, censorship, and so on.
  • Google Bias - Examples of Google's Bias. I don't care if people are OK with the bias. Even if they are ignorant, and can become informed by reading something like this. But those who lie/deny there's a bias, deserve to get stuff like this Force Fed. It won't change their minds, but they deserve the respect of being a Foi Gras Goose.
  • Google Censorship - Google operates with opacity for a reason. It's because they're know they're dirty/evil and want to avoid accountability
  • Google Gaffe - What happens when someone (James Damore) decides to tell the truth in Progressive America? "Burn the witch!" After all, he said the same thing that science, common sense, and Google's own lawyers say in court" Google says speak your mind, then fires you if you don't say what they want (e.g. tell them uncomfortable truths).
  • Google History - Google was created as a slightly better Yahoo (search engine), got $25M in investment, and because it didn't need to make money, managed to be better by being simpler and not having ads or money streams while it was gaining marketshare. Then once customers were using it, they reversed course, bought a bunch of ad companies (which they integrated) and became a money machine.
  • Google Privacy - Google and Privacy are oxymoronic: you are the product that they sell (your information is used by them, or sold by them to advertisers). You don't pay Google in dollars/fees/licenses, you pay them by letting them watch everything you do, and selling that to others. So they protect your data/privacy from everyone but them, and those that pay them.
  • Google Project Maven - The Government had a program to research AI (Artificial Intelligence) and imaging, hopefully to reduce collateral damage with Drones, or recognize things of interest, and thus save lives. When Marxist employees found out, they were livid. They'll work with the Chinese, but not the Americans on AI research. It's the Google Way™.
  • Google Sexual Harassment - Google got caught shielding some sexual harassers like Andy Rubin, the ‘Father of Android’ and paying him $90 million dollar golden parachutes, while firing 48 others without pay. That's not exactly being friendly to Women's causes, while pretending to care, and supporting the idea that everyone else had problems.
  • Google Suppressed GOP emails - Gmail suppressed 22M GOP Get-out-the-vote/fundraising emails by sending them to spam folders. GOP sues. GOP tried to get Google to resolve this for months. DNC as <10% fundraising emails directed to spam, while RNC has >77%.
  • Google TGIF video - Google's reaction to Hillary Clinton's 2016 election loss to Donald Trump, and it was a doozie. They admitted trying to manipulate the election, and failing. That they'd do better next time, and basically attacked any of their employees or people that don't think like the leadership (and support the Clinton Corruption Machine).
  • Google and China - Google decided that in order to get allowed into China, they would censor their results (blacklist sensitive queries) according to what the Chinese Government wanted (called Project Dragonfly). That and sharing data with despots shows a willingness to work with despots, that they'd never show to American Government, which was far less despotic, pre-Biden.
  • Google/AI Sentience - Google AI ethicists (Blake Lemoine) claimed that it's AI LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications), it's conversation technology is "sentient", sparking debate, and his unemployment. The TLDR is that a snowflake that can't tell a boy from a girl thinks that because an AI says it has feelings, that we must take that as it's truth.
  • Googlewhacked - A Googlewhack was a contest for finding a Google search query consisting of exactly two words that returns only one result. (Finding uniqueness). More and more the term is applicable to finding conservatives in their organization... and then firing them (whacking them) for their uniqueness. Intellectual diversity will not be tolerated.
  • Emoji/Handgun Emoji - Emojis mean things. But when political correctness/the left gets involved, they often pervert the language. A tool (gun) was too hostile... so they replaced it with a squirt gun instead (🔫), even though a squirt gun and a real gun have completely different meanings, and a real gun is far more common than a super soaker.
  • Nestgate - Failure to communicate: Google (Nest) had their customers didn't know about about (in their security products and smoke detectors), and didn't really tell people (or call it out). Some people were creeped out by having a microphone in their bedrooms and Google not being clear about it (keeping it "secret").
  • Social Media Censorship - Left-leaning tech companies like Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube, Instagram are the ones that are most likely to censor/filter what the public sees... in the name of free speech of course. But they got our data by promising to be fair, non-partisan and for freedom of information: things that all turned out to be lies.
  • Unplanned (2019) - Unplanned is a prophetic name, as I had no real intentions of seeing it. But after Twitter blocked them (since removed), music labels wouldn't license songs, most TV stations refused their benign advertising, and it was unfairly given an R rating. I saw it. An important and good film, because the far left and their media is trying to suppress you seeing it.
  • YouTube - YouTube (a division of Google) has a specially abusive place when it comes to the world of selective censorship - that only seems to apply to truths liberals hate to hear.
  • YouTube reduces Free Speech (2019) - YouTube CEO (Susan Wojcick) bragged on 60 minutes (to Lesley Stahl) that YouTube put an army of 10,000 censors on finding and eliminating, "Controversial Content", and through judicious use of the thought police (both real and scripts), they cut viewership of what they considered unworthy content by 70%.
  • Zachary Vorhies - Google engineer (Zachary Vorhies) gave Project Veritas and the public thousands of pages of documentation on how Google was intentionally manipulating their search to bias the information people see and manipulate elections: very Edward Snowden. Blacklists, blocklists, memos, emails, and guidelines. This proves their execs are either ignorant or lied to congress.

Alternatives[edit | edit source]

  • Luxxle.com is a great alternative. If you want to search for views that are getting stifled by leftist (MSM) sites, or biased Google search engine, you can actually find things from other (conservative) sources. [1]

Conclusion[edit | edit source]

Free market icon, Milton Friedman singled out “deception or fraud” as unacceptable free market behavior. In Capitalism and Freedom Friedman clearly said: “there is one and only one social responsibility of business to use its resources and engage in activities designed to increase profits so long as it stays within the rules of the game, which is to say, engages in open and free competition without deception or fraud.”

I'll leave it to the reader to decide whether they think acquiring customers based on one set of rules, then changing the rules after they've already vested in the platform or technologies is fraud or not.
