Facts
- The state quietly raises the marginal income tax rate to 14.4% in 2024, by cheating.
- They took off the cap for payroll tax -- which expands the tax for many people. up to 14.4% -- not counting other taxes and surcharges, like a millionaires tax that gets piled on top.
- The reason the tax was capped, was because the benefits were capped -- so when the tax was passed, and it was to provide a service, the tax was capped along with the service. Now they disassociated the two -- showing the tax is just punitive, and not to pay for what it was promised to. But California Democrats are liars -- and prove why you should never tolerate their program based taxes in the first place.
- People are fleeing California in a 50+ year turn-around. This almost never happens. But as tax revenues go down as people leave, instead of doing 1+1 and figuring out that people are leaving because they can't afford the corruption, incompetence and theft -- California doubles down to pay for the shortfall.
