Gasoline and EVs

Centralized Force (Incentives/Penalties) proves that a technology is not ready yet.
Centralized Force (Incentives/Penalties) proves that a technology is not ready yet. If you shut up and wait, the problem will cure itself, or it shouldn't be cured. Once you start forcing it, you proved that the technology failed, and you're a loser (wannabe tyrant/bully) trying to force the sqaure peg in a round hole.

Like all things by the left, they fail to understand diversity, tolerance, or common sense.

In other words, what makes sense for SF, or L.A. might make no sense for Medicino or Bakersfield. But like all leftist brown shirts, one-size-fits-all, and if you don't fit in the procrustean bed or Mao Suit unitard, they will trim you to size. Screw logic, common sense.

Pretend we're not progressive and have a greater than triple-digit IQ or EQ (those seem to be mutually exclusive). Consumers will move at the exact rate that makes sense.

As batteries and electricity come down in price, and the technology gets better... they will buy. If it doesn't make sense for them, for a variety of reason -- like Electricity prices going up (and gas prices go down because of too many people switching to EVs), the grid becoming unreliable, or they are environmentalists that can do ACTUAL calculations on what EVs cost the environment, they will not. It will move... but is a flexible and adaptive system that tolerates the diversity of thought, and geographic and economic realities. It's 100,000 times smarter than all the progressives in the world because it adapts to everyone's reality, not just the dimmest and biggest bullies.

So while I like my Tesla -- I can also recognize that people who want to haul things large distances, might not be ready to shift. My car makes sense, because I have my own garage and can charge at night -- but that makes less sense in San Francisco, where you don't have your own parking spot. Nor does it make sense in places where it's really cold, and you lose range -- especially when the car has to expend it's own power keeping itself warm. There's also cases where people have cars that sit long periods of time -- and phantom drain (of about 2%/day) can add up on an EV, but is not a problem for fleets of IC's.

And whats' WAY WAY too hard for the dim of wit and progressive of mind, it requires a 6th graders understanding of economics, s that as they drive down usage of gasoline -- the prices will go down.... which means that usage will go up. You can ban it in Mass and Cali -- and that will just INCREASE the usage and slow the adoption of EV'S in other places that aren't as stupid as they are.

Even if the dimwits would eliminate all gasoline consumption in the U.S.... (something they can't do)... the crash in gas prices would just increase usage in the 2nd and 3rd world. They aren't as stupid as the Baizuo...

Oil is produced for fuel, but all the byproducts ("waste") was a cheap resource that got used for other things... like plastic, cosmetics, lubricants, etc... if the retard class of Democrats got rid of oil for fuel, we'd still need to product the same amount for all the byproducts that are used in our daily lives, and the gasoline/deisel/etc., would become a cheap byproduct -- that other places or smart (non-democrats) would utilize, now that it's cheaper. Heck, it might become cheap enough that people start putting generators and gas tanks on their property to get around the overprice electricity coming from the watermelon environmentalists policies.

Gasoline usage is based not on the wishes and mandates of the fascist class... but on the economics. When there's a cheaper alternative (like Nuclear Power), people will start using that more... but the system will balance. As we're going to more expensive and less reliable wind/solar... they are delaying the migration away from oil, by making it more profitable not to. Just like forcing EVs in a few states, will likely slow their adoption in the smarter ones.
