Time renamed man (androgynous for mankind) to "person" of the year, to show their politically correct bonafides
Time of course renamed man (meaning the androgynous mankind) to person of the year, to show their politically correct bonafides (putting symbolism over journalism). But they have a history of picking despots that they align with politically: (1937) Chiang Kai-shek, (1938) Adolf Hitler, (1939) Joseph Stalin, (1942) Joseph Stalin, (1979) Ayatollah Khomeini, (2008) Vladimir Putin.
