Joe promised that this was not a political speech, which is why he got the Marines behind him as props, and started with rants about Super-MAGA Semi-Fascist Trump Supporters, with a blood-red backdrop, and strewn with lies. But added a couple of minor "unifying" comments at the end.

Biden promised to be a great uniter and adult while campaigning (and vilifying everyone that opposed his vision). And he promised this wasn't a political speech, done in Independence Hall in Philidelphia... then he went and talked about voting, ranted about MAGA Republicans, and how 74 Million People aren't real Americans -- then told outright lies that the Republicans hate the Constitution, Freedom, and his visions of remaking us into the USSA -- all because some believe in less federal authoritarianism than he does.

The point of the speech was to call Republicans names, while pretending that the Democrats are patriots (while undermining our interests). Biden claims he trusts Americans. But if Biden believed in America and Americans, he would believe in giving people the freedom to choose. Opt-in choice to support his pet causes, instead of totalitarian rules/laws/regulations/taxes that replace choice with force. He wouldn't be outraged that some states will opt out of abortion, he would be championing the states that still opt in. He wouldn't be forcing us all to participate in anti-Oil policies, he'd be looking at ways to allow us to choose. That force lets us know he has no faith in anyone doing the right thing, without him making us. So his premises are anti-American.
- The question here is whether you believe that Joe is smart enough to know this, and it lying/dividing us just to win elections -- because he puts his interests above America as a country. Or if you think that Joe is stupid, or a puppet controlled by anti-Americans that are undermining us -- but he's just too senile to know he's being used. But there aren't any informed people that can really believe that this isn't divisive. So evil or incompetence becomes the sophies choice.

MAGA is the greatest threat to America... and that's why the DNC is supporting them with ad buys. The goal is that they fund or cross over vote in primaries to get the most MAGA and far right they can, because they think it's easier to win against them in the general, especially if they and the media misrepresents them. Which proves they don't believe they are a threat, or they wouldn't support them. ^[1]

During Obama (and Biden), it is a game. When they create one disaster, they create another distaster to cover it up. Change the narrative. Who thought red uplighting and using the military as a backdrop to call 74M Americans the greatest threat to the country, in a speech that was promised to be apolitical, was a good idea? I think there had to be a few that were doing it intentionally, because as bad as that narrative is, it’s better for them than discussing immigration, crime, the economy, their rampant boondoggles, anti-Energy, state of foreign policy, the collapse in Afghanistan and violence in Iraq, or the college debt relief. (You know, the issues). So change the narrative by making it about Trump/Biden. Wag the dog!
