Persian Herbs served as both an appetizer, and something to add to flavor (as sort of seasonings). I usually have had it with cheese, crackers/bread, olives and the like. You gnosh on it by itself. But if you're having something like Kabob, you can add some of it to that too (or I do). Very addicting.

  • Persian Basil ~ Reyhan
  • Mint / spearmint ~ Nanaw
  • Cilantro ~ Geeshneez
  • flat-leaf parsley
  • dill
  • Tarragon ~ Tarkhoon
  • Persian Watercress ~ Shawhi
  • Green onion ~ Peeazcheh
  • Chives ~ Tareh
  • Radish ~ Torobcheh

Directions[edit | edit source]

  1. 2 bunches whole fresh herbs, in any combination
  2. Plate with Feta, Olive Oil, Olives, Flatbread, Nuts, Persian Cucumber

Results[edit | edit source]

Delicious little gnosh to snack on. But while simple, it becomes addicting.
