Semantics[edit source]

Quick, would you rather be burned alive, beaten to death, tortured or shot in the head by a sniper? (With no other options).

Semantic tricks by the left (like tracking "mass shootings" instead of "mass murders" and excluding government "massacres") are done to dupe the gullible into believing that private guns and shootings are more prevalent or the worst option. They aren't, and banning guns may make both shootings worse, or the alternatives worse.

While we'd rather nobody had to die; if they are going to be killed by crazies, then winning isn't replacing shootings with bigger shootings, bombings, fire attacks or getting run over by trucks. And in countries that controlled guns, we've gotten all of those. So if you here someone trying to address mass shootings, and not mass murderers or massacres? Then you know they don't care about the victims, they are just standing on their coffins to further their agenda of being anti-gun.

Sensationalizing[edit source]

This is from 2009, but the info predates it by decades
  • Mass murderers are usually committing suicide by mass murder. They want to go out in a way that makes their lives meaningful.
  • The worst thing you can do for someone infatuated with suicide by mass murder, is sensationalize mass shootings (or mass murder). It gives the crazies ideas on how to get lots of media and political attention, and you'll get copy-cats. It's why they come in clusters. [1]
  • Virtually all politicians/media have been made aware of this. But they do it anyways as they will sacrifice the lives of others for their fame/speeches/career advancement or the righteous cause of their gun-control agenda.
  • In 2022 Politico spun it as Professors Jillian Peterson and James Densley just figured this out in 2019, as part of the book tour for The Violence Project: How to Stop a Mass Shooting Epidemic. But this data/research is completely derivative (even if a little more comprehensive) and has been known for generations. But the TLDR version is: [2]
    • (a) don't sensationalize it
    • (b) focus on mental health
    • (c) to get promotions from leftist outlets, throw in gun control and red flag laws even though those can't help, since their own research concludes these people are suicidal attention seekers and will just move to other and possibly more effective means. And you don't need Red Flag Laws if you just enforce the other laws for institutionaliation or crimes. And if you won't enforce the laws you have, then Red Flag Laws do nothing.

Gun-Free Zones[edit source]

  • Death counts are correlated to response times. Good Guys with Guns are more often closer, reducing response times. When seconds count, the police are just 10-15 minutes away. And that's assuming they don't wait outside for an hour or more (like Pulse or Uvalde).
  • The FBI claims the average "active shooter" kills 3 people over about 5 minutes and doesn't even need to reload (but most have more than one gun). 66% of the time it ended before police arrived because the shooter fled, committed suicide, or a citizen intervened. And most of the time the shooter committed suicide or fled is because civilians intervened. [3]
  • Multiple manifestos (New Zealand, Texas, Buffalo) have stated they targeted gun free zones, and used guns because of the guaranteed press/media impact. And they chose AR's over superior pistols, because it'll get even more attention from the left and their media.
  • In a peer reviewed study of the prior 100 mass shootings, the average number of people killed in mass shootings when stopped by police is 14.29, when stopped by a civilian it is 2.33 [4]
  • There are hundreds of examples of Mass shootings stopped by armed civilians. Those claiming that civilians don’t stop school shootings are either ignorant or liars. Period. So if you hear that claim in writing, you can write off that site or source as partisan, incompetent, or both.
