• He was an activist and a physician, that let his sexual proclivities drive his interests (and results) as a "researcher" in the field of sexology.

• Many terms and ideas we have today about Gender fluidity, bisexuality, even terms about transgenderism can be traced back to Magnus, and his study in the gay scenes of the early 1900's.

• He founded the Scientific-Humanitarian Committee and World League for Sexual Reform, with his agendas in mind. His goal was not to get to the science, but to champion that sexual minorities (deviants) were normal, and should be equals. It was also to tear down Judeo-Christian values that were repressive and stifling, if you were a gay/bi man.
