Joe Biden First Speech

From iGeek
Biden comes out of hiding: and started, ended and filled his speech with lies and disinformation.
Biden comes out of hiding: and started, ended and filled his speech with lies and disinformation. The "most transparent administration ever" was the slowest to address the nation in over 100 years. And what he said was as divisive as a any ever uttered by a White House Denizen... politicizing a pandemic, in the name of unity and healing.

The context is that he did the speech on the one year anniversary of the 2 week lockdown to "flatten the curve", and on the day he signed a $2 Trillion Dollar Stimulus.

Lies of omission[edit | edit source]

The first thing to notice are what are the lies of omission. What did he leave out?

  1. Anything to do with the fact that the 2 week lockdown to flatten the curve was a failure. We had the surges anyways, and the experts claiming it was only two weeks were lying or fools. The conservatives/libertarians warning that the 2 weeks was the start of something bigger and more draconian and of questionable Constitutional authority were all called kooks/conspiracy theorists and other names -- but their claims proved prophetic. The lockdowns were a disaster, especially in Democrat controlled states, that did more harm than good.

  2. It was the politicization of the virus from Day 1 by the Democrats that divided us and polarized us. A big man would admit his sides mistakes. But no fear of that from Joe Biden. He ignored everything he and his side did wrong. .

  3. He talked a lot about the Vaccine that would save us by 4th of July, failing to mention that it's development was under Donald Trump, that Joe Biden lied about their being no distribution plan under it (when he's following it, to the letter), and that everyone ridiculed Trump for promising it and pushing it. Biden couldn't even mention the name, "Operation Warp Speed", because that would show some grace and appreciation.

  4. Nothing about how we've passed $4T before this pork-bill was passed, and this latest law is 95% pork to Democrat causes, having nothing to do with COVID, and delivered in years after COVID is over. It was divisive political opportunism, under the false pretense of helping with a disease that will be gone before the spending kicks in. All to fix policies that the Democrats forced on us.

Giving no credit, taking no responsibility, misrepresenting history and the other side, political opportunism, does that sound like the actions of someone that wants to unite and heal? That's all the omitted context. But then you get into the outright lies and disinformation, and his speech is worse.

Lies of commission[edit | edit source]

Then there's the actual lies in the speech. The boxes contain Joe's speech. And my commentary fills in the omitted context and what the lies are.

A year ago, we were hit with a virus that was met with silence and spread unchecked

Were we silent? I seem to remember that 2 months before this time last year, Trump had already declared it a National Emergency, had already done a travel ban which Joe Biden called racist, Trump had already publicly chastised the FDA and CDC for slow-rolling and screwing up testing as well as those that let infected people into the nation. Operation Warp Speed was initially funded with about $10 billion from the CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) on March 27th, so you can be it was already in progress in primordial/planning stages from before 2 weeks earlier.

So basically, the opening sentence is a lie.

Denials for days, weeks, then months that led to more deaths, more infections, more stress, and more loneliness.

What denial? We've already established that Trump had done more than the Democrats wanted. While the Democrats like Cuomo was calling for people to enjoy Saint Patricks day, the Presidents team was warning people about the contagion (though trying to control panic).

There were lots of deaths, stress and loneliness -- caused by the ill advised and now thoroughly debunked lockdowns -- especially of restaurants and gyms that the CDC now admits had extremely little effects on disease spread. So a more accurate wording would be, "Democrats over-reactions and championing lockdowns against the science, caused more stress, loneliness and death"... but again, that would require an honest accounting of mistakes made so we could do better. Which is something the Democrats are emotionally ill equipped for.

A collective suffering. A collective sacrifice. A year filled with the loss of life — and the loss of living for all of us.

Again, why? Oh, because of politically inspired lockdowns. The Democrats felt the more they hurt the economy, the more they hurt Donald Trump's chances to get re-elected. So they did everything they could to magnify the collective suffering, and increase the sacrifices. Where's the admission or apology? That would lead to some healing.

As I’ve told you before, I carry a card in my pocket with the number of Americans who have died from COVID to date. It’s on the back of my schedule. As of now, the total deaths in America: 527,726. That’s more deaths than in World War One, World War Two, the Vietnam War, and 9/11 combined.

Using cooked and sensationalized numbers, that's a way to unite us.

We know that the CDC and FDA and Democrats operatives all did their best to inflate these numbers with questionable accounting, and attacked anyone that questioned it, or their method. How many deaths were there over a normal pandemic? How many fewer if we accounted for deaths the same way we account for other deaths? How many more would have died if Trump hadn't created Operation Warp Speed that brought 3 vaccines to market? Those are far more important than cooked numbers to inflate the death.

Heck, if you wanted to be a uniter, admit that the numbers were inflated, and here's a plan to do better next time. The same, we are investigating mistakes made like Cuomo/Whitmer/Newsom's requiring COVID patients be housed in old folks homes which magnified the deaths. Or things we did right, like Florida's Ron DeSantis's protecting old folks from the disease, while no locking down schools and businesses as hard. Those would be post-partisan leadership, instead of the hyper-partisan divisive tripe that he delivered.

But I’m also thinking about everyone else who lost this past year to natural causes, by cruel fate of accident, or other diseases. They, too, died alone. They, too, leave loved ones behind who are hurting badly... “I’m sorry. I lost my job. We can’t be here anymore.”

Again, because of the ill advised lockdowns that kept loved ones from having funerals, or visiting their dying relatives. Or cost people the jobs.

He also misrepresents that people were kicked out of their homes because of it -- when there were checks to prevent that, and policies that outlawed evictions. Is he saying that the government failed them? If so, why? And what are we doing to fix it.

Weddings, birthdays, graduations... The first date. The family reunions. The Sunday night rituals... this virus has kept us apart.

No, it didn't. The shutdown and leftist policies did.

In right leaning states, people continued to do many/most of those things. A virus with a death rate lower than pneumonia for those under 50 was not the problem -- the policies in response to it were. If you can't admit that, we can't have an adult discussion.

A mask — the easiest thing to do to save lives — sometimes it divides us.

Except there's little evidence that it actually saves lives. The CDC's own study admits that at most, it might have had a 3% reduction for 2-3 weeks when first enacted, and then fell down to <1% after that. And that's below the margin of error in the study. And it doesn't factor in counter evidence -- that people in masks take more risks, talk closer, talk louder, repeat themselves, all which increased the odds of spread. Or that the science (all prior studies before COVID) said that cloth masks were just placebos/talisman's that had no measurable positive effects.

So yes, masks divide us: between the informed and the COVIDiots that want to believe in placebos. And more than that, between

States pitted against one other instead of working with each other.

Leftist states (and people) have always pitted themselves against free states. Free states (people) can tolerate leftists being stupid. Progressives/leftist states or people can't stand that someone, somewhere, isn't following their rules.

Remember the prime directive of leftism: ideas so good they need to be implemented by force. e.g. It's for your own good.

An insightful person might recognize that the problem isn't that we had a variety of states trying different things. The problem is that some of the states couldn't stand that other states didn't agree with them (and outperformed them).

Vicious hate crimes against Asian Americans, who have been attacked, harassed, blamed, and scapegoated.

Let's see, all of those attacks were in leftist enclaves, of leftist cities, in leftist states, and it was done by Blacks on Asians, the former of which 90%+ vote for Democrats.

So it wasn't Trump supporters out there attacking Asians over the China Virus. It was Black Americans attacking old Asian people, because the Asians are outperforming them academically and culturally, and following the hate they are taught by leftist victimhood culture.

Look, we know what we need to do to beat this virus: Tell the truth. Follow the scientists and the science. Work together. Put trust and faith in our government to fulfill its most important function, which is protecting the American people — no function more important.

(a) the science says that masks don't work, lockdowns were ineffective on the virus but highly effective on the economy, school closures hurt more than helped, same with restaurants and gyms. That's the science. But the Democrats won't accept any of it.

(b) government has caused more of the problems than they helped. The areas that ignored the fed, did better than the ones that followed it (or got in front of it). The people that took responsibility for themselves, and did their own things? Those states and people generally fared better.

So that was a partisan political statement, not one that would unite us. One that would unite us would say that freedom and our American exceptionalism got us through this.

My fellow Americans, you’re owed nothing less than the truth.

Then why won't he admit any of the mistakes made, by him or his party? Why can't he admit that Trump might be an asshole, but did some things right on COVID -- like with trying to give people hope, opposing destroying the economy and people's lives for a virus less deadly to the young than other respiratory illnesses? Or admit that government and medias overreaction made this much worse than it needed to be. Until he's willing to admit the truth, his platitudes or lies about caring about the truth hold no credibility.

That’s why I’m using every power I have as President of the United States to put us on a war footing to get the job done.... Calling on active duty military, FEMA, retired doctors and nurses, administrators, and those to administer the shots

What is the senile fuck talking about? We normally give our up to 3M vaccines a day for Flu season. We are only up to 2M/day for COVID. The reason isn't that we don't have the distribution capability (we haven't tapped into the private sector fully yet) -- it is that the government got in the way, wanted to control who got it first, and so SLOWED DOWN delivery by trying to manage the distribution in the name of social justice. (Making tiers and excluding people from getting it who needed it or wanted it). If they'd just made it first come first served from day one, we could have at least twice as many people vaccinated by now.

We don't need the military giving shots, or controlling checkpoints. All we need is government out of the way, and letting anyone who wants to get one, to get it. The fact that they won't release our distribution until May 1st is not some big victory thanks to Joe, it's a failure of government to not get out of their own way and just let it be first come first served all along!

I announced our plan to buy an additional 100 million doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccines... Now because of all the work we’ve done, we’ll have enough vaccine supply for all adults in America by the end of May.

Joe (the Liar) Biden has been perpetuating frauds like we didn't have a distribution plan (we did), or we didn't have enough vaccines ordered (we did).

The Trump plan ordered 200M doses of Pfizer and Moderna, each. That's 200M people. They also had 100M of the single dose J&J, and AstraZeneca, and another one pre-ordered. That's enough for 500M people in a country of 330M people (and they were going to up-level any of them, if the others fell through on testing).

Joe Biden claimed that's not enough, and that he ordered more. But the rational know that 500M is greater than 330M which should be MORE than enough. And when you break it down, you find out that 100M already had the virus and don't need the vaccine, 30M+ are below the age that the vaccines are approved for and don't need it, because their natural immunity already exceeds the vaccine in resistance rates. Then there's a large percent of the population (say 50-100M that will NOT get it). So we have 500M doses, when we need maybe 150M to achieve herd immunity.

The schedule is completely on-plan with Trump offered back in September. And now thanks to Joe, we have a bunch more vaccines that we don't need, and he'll likely start giving away to other countries. Which is fine if you sell it as that. But that's not how the fraud is selling it.

Every time Joe claims that he had to order more, he's lying. Anyone that believes him, or doesn't correct him is ignorant or dishonest.

It’s truly a national effort, just like we saw during World War II.

This is nothing like WWII. We aren't even achieving the output of a normal Flu vaccine season.

When I got my shot, the place wasn't very busy at all. At that was during the height of vaccinations.

We continue to work on making at-home testing available.

In other words, companies have been petitioning the FDA to let them give out at-home tests since March... and a year later, the Government still isn't allowing it. But soon... it only took a year, during a pandemic. But any day now, they might let us do something that the medical companies wanted to do a year ago, when it might have mattered.

And we’ve been focused on serving people in the hardest-hit communities of this pandemic — Black, Latino, Native American, and rural communities.

Dividing us by race/culture. Focusing on giving people priority based on race is called racism. Pretending "I'm a good racist" doesn't change that you're still a racist.

When I took office 50 days ago, only 8 percent of Americans after months — only 8 percent of those over the age of 65 had gotten their first vaccination. Today, that number is [nearly] 65 percent...

Lying with numbers, that will unite us.

The FDA and Pfizer held back on announcing the vaccine until after the election in order to hurt Trump. (They killed Americans for their political agenda, because their politics was more important than lives). Trump's plan was able to go into effect and scaled up to 1.5M vaccines per day by the time he left office. And when you look at it, the Blue States like NY and California were botching their distribution and way under-performing many red states. Since Biden took over, they got their shit together a bit more, and now we're going full speed at 2M vaccination per day. But since Biden's had 50 days to get out of the way and let Warp Speed do it's job (and Trump only had a couple weeks), Biden is trying to mislead people and take credit for the solution he inherited, to a problem the Democrats made bigger.

When I came into office, you may recall, I set a goal that many of you said was, kind of, way over the top. I said I intended to get 100 million shots in people’s arms in my first 100 days in office. Tonight, I can say we are not only going to meet that goal, we’re going to beat that goal. Because we’re actually on track to reach this goal of 100 million shots in arms on my 60th day in office.

He was rightly mocked when he said that, because we were on track to vaccinate 150M people by his 100th day in office (assuming no further ramp up -- and operation warp speed was planning on ramp up), and 90M by his 60th. So he's all excited because he didn't interfere with the plan he inherited?!?! But he won't give credit.

First, I’m announcing that I will direct all states, tribes, and territories to make all adults — people 18 and over — eligible to be vaccinated no later than May 1.

I'm not sure he really has the authority to stop them. And it helps to know that some states are already doing that. (Red states). This is actually slower than the Warp Speed plan. But the basics of what he's saying is that after 5 months of slowing down vaccinations, the government is going to get more out of the way and stop restricting them. Gee thanks.

Secondly, at the time when every adult is eligible in May, we will launch, with our partners, new tools to make it easier for you to find the vaccine and where to get the shot, including a new website that will help you first find the place to get vaccinated and the one nearest you.

We already have that, and it was in the plan all along. What he's saying is we'll add more locations to it by May, and let it work with those. But basically, if they just allow CVS and Walgreens to carry it, everyone knows where to get it. The only reason for the confusion has been because the government didn't allow them to give it out at will.

Thirdly, with the passage of the American Rescue Plan... we can accelerate the massive, nationwide effort to reopen our schools safely

There has never been a problem to open schools. Lots of red states and other countries have done it (or never shut down). The problem isn't opening the schools, other than the political motivations of Democrats to close them and keep them closed. The problem is why were they closed in the first place, and not opened 6+ months ago when it was proven that schools don't spread the virus in any significant amounts? Why is it going to take months more? When red states have already done it, and it's fine?

Fourth, in the coming weeks, we will issue further guidance on what you can and cannot do once fully vaccinated...

Um, Fuck you Joe. If vaccines work, then we can do what we want. If they don't, then this whole plan is smoke and mirrors. The Constitution means you have no authority to stop me from doing what I want, whether I'm vaccinated or not. Welcome to America.

...fifth...I need you to get vaccinated when it’s your turn and when you can find an opportunity, and to help your family and friends and neighbors get vaccinated as well... if we do our part, by July the 4th, there’s a good chance you, your families, and friends will be able to get together in your backyard or in your neighborhood and have a cookout and a barbecue and celebrate Independence Day.

We did this last year in Texas. Watched the Fireworks, it was nice. In a free country, we don't have to wait for permission from our monarch.

This fight is far from order — from over.

Bullshit, if you know epidemiology this disease is crashing. We have 100M that have had it, 100M that have been vaccinated, 30M that can't get it. That means it's well over 2/3rds over. There might be another wave with these more contagious strains, but even then, 2/3rds+ of potential candidates are gone for the virus. It's over, whether senile career bureaucrats recognize it or not.

The scientists have made clear that things may get worse again as new variants of the virus spread.

Some scientists? Sure. Some disagree. But we have a diminishing disease for a few more months left on something that's been going for 15 months. It's almost over.

So my message to you is this: Listen to Dr. Fauci, one of the most distinguished and trusted voices in the world.

A Flip Flopping democrat polemic that's been wrong on at least half of the flips or flops. No mask, one mask, two, three? Which Fauci?

We need everyone to get vaccinated...

No we don't. Basic epidemiology -- we want about 70% of social interactions to have resistance to get herd immunity. That's not 70% of all people, just interactions. (The virus has to transfer by being in close contact with someone, indoors, for extended periods). If a small percent of people do most of the social interactions (and they do) -- that means they are the most likely to already have had it. Magnify that over an entire year of social interactions.

We are already at about 60% that have had it or been vaccinated. Those are the most likely vectors of transmission. This disease is dying out.

Now a lot of peole that will get the vaccine will have been exposed and might not know that they don't need it. And some that won't get the vaccine, will have already been exposed and don't need it. But the point is the dishonest or misinformed will scare people that we need 100% of the people to get it (like Joe is trying)... it's dumb and dishonest. We need like 70% of high social interactions, and we're likely past that already. So if people don't want to get it, it's not really going to matter. And pretending it is life and death, or they're trying to kill Grandma is just dishonest polarization that will empower the Karen's and Buttinski's to try to control others over something that doesn't really matter.

You know, and there’s something else we lost. We lost faith in whether our government and our democracy can deliver on really hard things for the American people.

OK. Why? Because the Democrats politicized a pandemic and favored their party politics over human lives. They lied to us, bullied us, and keep preaching to us, trying to take credit for other people's accomplishments and dodging their own failures... we lost faith, because government (especially Democrat leadership and their followers) acted so poorly, so intolerantly, and so fucking un-American.

And today, I signed into law the American Rescue Plan, an historic piece of legislation that delivers immediate relief to millions of people. It includes $1,400 in direct rescue checks — payments. That means a typical family of four earning about $110,000 will get checks for $5,600 deposited if they have direct deposit or in a check — a Treasury check.

Yes, for each taxpayer your burdened with a $35,000 tax bill, you gave a fraction of them back (as long as they make less than a certain amount) $1,400 of their own money, and gave billions to Democrat special interests, pork, on issues having nothing to do with a pandemic. And now you want us to thank for leaving us (or our children) in debt. What a douche.

Conclusion[edit | edit source]

The meat of his speech was trying to scare and threaten people to follow harder. What are they following? Mask mandates that didnt work, a lockdown that didnt help, and to take $35,000 per taxpayer in debt, to get $1,400 back... if you don't make too much.

Did he thank Trump for the 400 million vaccines he bought, and the vaccination plan he created that we are right on plan with, for the 200 million people that need them? No. Senile Joe tried to take credit for buying more doses than people, as a pandemic is crashing before we have distributed a fraction of them.

People have said they were sad we had to politicize a pandemic... but Democrats politicize everything. Never let an opportunity go to waste... and never, ever take the high road and admit anything the other side did right. As Demonstrated by Joe's speech.

The more the media and the left refuses to admit any of those points, the more the rational can ignore them for being irrational and unwilling to admit basic truths.
