No Expert... but I think I'm handling it well.
I believe I'm coping with grief quite well, based on what I've read and how I feel. Some reasons (or rationalizations) for why?
- This isn't new Of course I've never had anything so bad as losing my 32 year love partner. But I had dealt with many/most aspects that grief tried to hit me with before.
- Loneliness - meh, I lived the first 20 years of my life without much love in the home, and I survived that.
- Brain Chemistry causing depression/anxiety/despair - meh, I had an anxiety disorder in my early 20s, and had to carry that load for over 30 years. The brain used it's There aren't many new tricks.
