God Bless America

"God Bless America", caused outrage because performer (Kate Smith) was accused of being a racist, for mocking racists.

The usual suspects are outraged at the song, "God Bless America", not because of what it said, but because one of the most famous performers (Kate Smith) was a racist. Why? Because in the 1930's she wrote a song with the son of a runaway slave (Paul Robeson), that mocked white supremacists, at a time when that was risking career and life. But is used the term "Darkies".

In the play (George White's Scandals), that song (That's Why Darkies Were Born) was mocking white supremacists, and satire like that, at that time, was risking career and life.

So for taking such a brave stand, she must be wiped from history, and no statues should be allowed.
