Think of the left's, "Never let a good crisis go to waste" how they handled COVID, and every economic downturn. Fear is a weapon. And while the right sometimes uses fear of change to resist bad ideas, while the left NEEDS to use fear to get change.

The left projects their flaws on others: so being the party of fear (or envy), they claim the Republicans are. But if you trusted your neighbors (and didn't fear their actions), you wouldn't be the party that tries to ban, outlaw, punish or regulate (they are afraid of non-compliance).

FUD[edit source]

FUD means "Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt", it was used by big companies to scare users away from small companies software (or hardware). They'd sow uncertainty, so customers would buy from the safest (largest) company, even if it wasn't currently the best... or scare them into buying the most expensive software for features they might someday need.
