2018.09.23 Stacked Panel

From iGeek
CNN panel of "Republican women" were actually establishment GOP operatives/activists. Bad CNN.
CNN presented a panel of what "Republican women" (or Republican Voters) thought of the Kavanaugh hearing. 2 of the 6 were Republican operatives -- which is completely dishonest framing, a journalistic no-no.

CNN presented a panel of what "Republican women" (or Republican Voters) thought of the Kavanaugh hearing. 2 of the 6 were Republican operatives -- which is completely dishonest framing, a journalistic no-no.

The Panel felt that Kavanaugh's story was far more believable than Ford's. And the right said, "wow, not what CNN was expecting". But in truth they stacked the panel to get this way and failed to disclose who these people were accurately. Which is bad journalism. Made worse because their talk show personalities of course use that to misrepresent the issue as more polarized than it was.
